Sourced from an Upstate New York quarry, these natural slate rounds are as functional as they are striking. Use them as coasters, mini appetizer plates, name placements, or a surface for writing with soapstone chalk. Each coaster is treated with food-grade mineral oil per order for a deep, sleek black finish — or leave them natural for a rustic, chalk-like look. Available individually or in sets of 2, 4, or 6, with optional add-ons.

Mineral Oil vs. Natural Finish

With oil: Deep black, sleek, and polished. Fingerprints don't show. Enhances the natural stone variations. Requires an additional 24 hours to ship for oil application.

Without oil: Rustic, chalk-like appearance. Natural and raw. Both finishes are beautiful — it's a matter of preference.

To maintain your slate, apply a small drop of food-grade mineral oil twice a year or as needed.
